“It is good to love many things, for therein lies the true strength, and whosoever loves much performs much, and can accomplish much, and what is done in love is well done.”
― Vincent Van Gogh
The world is changing. No longer can we rely on the safety and comfort of insular communities as our world becomes increasingly more diversified. As this global, cultural shift begins, two sides have begun to emerge; those who welcome the diversification of culture and thought and those who would reject it and reach for the simplicity of the past.
Blood of a Mutt wholeheartedly embraces the strengths of diversity with the mission of spreading worthwhile knowledge and ideas that contribute to the betterment of humanity in this emerging new world. Pulling from great thinkers across a wide range of disciplines; Philosophy, Psychology, Poetry, Literature, Music, Comedy, and Self Development, Blood of a Mutt aims to find the universal truths behind these great minds and share them in the form of actionable advice.
With the advent of the Internet age, the gatekeepers of knowledge are slowly becoming obsolete and the responsibility of education is quickly falling into the hands of the individual. However, the pursuit of true knowledge—understanding, wisdom, and empathy—is not an easy task to undertake alone and while it is the right path it is understandable why many do not follow it through.
Blood of a Mutt is here as a friend, to walk beside you as Camus would put it, on the path of learning and growth, to welcome all who would walk with us towards a new, brighter world.
My name is Liam. I studied English and World Literatures at UC San Diego and now live in Sacramento, California where I write, read, and play music.
